InPerson is a fun way to create face-to-face meetings with other professionals while you wait for your flight.

Signing Up

 

Do I have to have a LinkedIn Account?

Yes. To make sure our users are quality professionals, we use LinkedIn as a vetting process.

 

How can I sign up for a LinkedIn Account?

Visit LinkedIn.com and click Sign Up.

 

What information do you grab from my LinkedIn Account?

Basic account information such as Name, Job Title, City, and Profile picture. Please read our Privacy Policy for more information.

 

Will you ever post anything on my LinkedIn account?

No.

 

What information do other people see of mine?

Your Name, Job Title, City, and Profile picture. They may also visit your LinkedIn page to get more information. Please read our Privacy Policy for more information.

 

 

Searching

 

Why does InPerson automatically bring up airports?

Based on your GPS location, InPerson will bring up the closest airport.

 

Can I search other airports?

Yes, click on the airport input field and type in either the airport name or code. You can see who is currently there and who was there, but you cannot connect with them through our app.

 

 

 

Connecting

 

How do I connect with someone?

Either swipe left or click on the person’s card to reveal the CONNECT.Once you click the CONNECT button, and invitation is sent to the other person, to which s/he can accept or ignore.

 

How come I can only connect with someone when I’m at the actual airport?

Our goal is to connect people to immediate face-to-face meetings. Allowing this would take away from our main goal. You could always connect with them on LinkedIn. “I saw you were at [Enter Airport Name].” is a great icebreaker.

 

Why can’t I connect with someone that Was Here at my same airport?

How do I know if a user Accepts or Ignores my invitation to connect?

If they accept, you will get a push notification telling you to start a conversation. There is no way to tell if the user didn’t see or chose to ignore your invitation.

 

 

Can someone send me a message if I didn’t accept their invitation?

No, both parties must first show a willingness to connect before the chat board is opened.

 

How do I Block a user?

On the chat board, by the other user’s name you will see a dropdown arrow. Click on that to reveal the BLOCK option. Once a user is blocked, they will never be able to connect or contact you through our app.
